About Little Fingers
Since 2013, Little Fingers has reached grieving parents in over 15 countries, offering over 15,000 copies of our book as a gift of comfort — now available instantly as a free download.
Little Fingers was born from a place of deep personal loss. After the stillbirth of my son Micah in 2012, and a miscarriage soon after, I found myself searching for light in a season that felt unbearably dark. I began writing — for myself at first — until those words grew into a mission: to make sure no parent ever has to feel alone in the shadows of grief.
The Book
Little Fingers: Never Alone in the Shadows aims to be a companion in the quiet moments of grief. It offers gentle guidance, reflective thoughts, and practical signposts for finding support — a champion to stand beside you as you navigate the days and nights ahead.
Its pages speak hope into the darkness, reminding you that you are seen, you are understood, and you are never alone in the shadows.
Comforting words from someone who has walked this road
Reflections to help you process and honour your loss
Guidance on what to expect in the early days of grief
Practical resources and signposts to support
Gentle encouragement for the steps ahead
What You’ll Find Inside
The Journey
From a handwritten journal in the days after loss, to a resource that has reached parents across the world — this is the journey of Little Fingers.
-
Where It Began
The stillbirth of my son, Micah, marked the beginning of Little Fingers. In the months that followed, I began writing words that would later become a gift to others walking the same road. -
The First Steps Forward
Our first charity ball raised over £7,000. A matched funding award brought the first printed copies of Little Fingers to life, ready to be given freely to bereaved parents. -
Reaching Out
Delivered our first books to the Eden Suite at Heartlands Hospital, where Micah was born. Later that year, our work was recognised with a Butterfly Award for “Best International Blogger/Author.” -
Becoming an Official Charity
Little Fingers became a registered charity. Our story was shared through NHS training to help professionals understand the journey of baby loss. -
Growing Impact
Over 5,000 books had been given to parents across 25 hospitals and 9 countries. Fundraising, speaking engagements, and partnerships helped spread the message further. -
Sharing Our Story on Film
We released our first official video, offering a new way for parents to hear: you are not alone. -
A Steady Light
Year by year, more hospitals, more parents, more lives touched. Over 15,000 copies reached parents in over 15 countries. -
A New Chapter
In August, we moved from printed books to a free digital download — ensuring no parent has to wait for hope to reach them.
